IT Training Specialist needed for a leading Engineering organisation with sites based across the UK who are looking to employ an experienced IT Training Specialist who will be responsible for the development and implementation of a global training program to ensure all end users are fully trained on pertinent technologies, tools and their capabilities. The role-holder will report to the Group IT Operations Manager once appointed. Until then, the role will report to the Group IT Programme Director.
What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the IT Training Specialist will include:
- Development and implementation of tailored IT training solutions for all levels of end users within the company
- Schedule and conduct IT training sessions remotely with occasional on-site training
- Create relevant training and reference materials to aid end users in learning (manuals, videos, podcasts, presentations etc.)
- Maintain updated training records
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives of training program
- Ensure training program is compliant with the companies' policies and procedures
- Additional duties as assigned
What you need to be the successful IT Training Specialist:
In order to be the successful IT Training Specialist and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:
Required Skills:
- Associates Degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Organizational Development, or Business
- Prior proven experience in training and development
- Proven track record working with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to develop engaging training sessions and content as well as being able to personally run / hold seminars and training sessions
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral to enable them to generate and deliver suitable material.
- Patience, tolerance, and a good level of empathy to identify users that may be struggling and find a training approach that suits them.
- Happy to travel between company sites across the UK when needed
- The ability to support US, UK, Canadian and Australian nationals - all of whom may have slightly different language skills and to whom some English will not be their first language.
- Strong organisational skills
Desired Skills:
- 1+ years of experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS)
- 1+ years of experience creating forms using Adobe Acrobat
- Certification in Microsoft Office products
