Laboratory Technician needed for a well-known organisation based in Hampshire who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Laboratory Technician that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of Microbiology.
The successful candidate would desirably have a relevant degree - i.e., Biology, Molecular, Physiology, Microbiology etc and have a keen interest in being a Laboratory Technician. If you have experience in sterility that would be a plus!

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Laboratory Technician will include:
- Preparation of pharmaceutical and medical device products for sterility runs
- Routine sterility testing in a half suit isolator in a Grade D cleanroom
- Ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with the methods supplied, in a manner to obtain accurate results
- Collating data for laboratory records for the preparation of reports and for compliance with quality procedures for work performed
- Inputting of results on our laboratory information management system
What experience you need to be the successful Laboratory Technician:
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs at level C or equivalent, including Maths and English; degree in microbiology
- Working experience of sterility testing
- Working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing (cGMP) and Good Laboratory (cGLP) Practices
- Experience and knowledge in pharmaceutical microbiological techniques in an aseptic environment
- Experience working in isolators or glove boxes desirable
