Lead Technical Engineer


Up to £55,000 (Depending on experience)

I am currently looking for a Lead Technical Engineer to work with my client, a leading electronic manufacturing services provider who specialise in aerospace and defence. They are looking to employ an experienced Lead Technical Engineer with experience working to demanding standards in a safety critical environment.

Some of the main duties of the Lead Technical Engineer will include:

  • Manage workload in order to achieve customer requirements and delivery dates.
  • Lead and support technical investigations.
  • Ability to provide engineering costs and timescale estimates.
  • Ability to lead a team.
  • The ability to communicate clearly on technical matters with both colleagues and customers.
  • Train staff as required.

In order to be the successful Lead Technical Engineer and have the chance to gain such an exciting opportunity, you will ideally need the following:

  • Qualified to Degree/HND level in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or associated technical discipline.
  • Experience working in a safety critical environments to demanding standards such as AS9100 & NAPCAP.
  • Excellent and demonstrable knowledge of interpreting electronics and mechanical design data.
  • Ability to review product documentation and identify errors and opportunities for improvement.
  • Experience using Pareto, SPC, FMEA and Root Cause Analysis to improve quality, reduce costs and lead times.
  • Worked to IPC-A-610 or equivalent (Desirable).

Must be eligible for Security Clearance ( ONLY HOLD A BRITISH PASSPORT )
