Learning and Development Manager, Tunbridge Wells. A leading professional services company are currently looking for a Learning and Development Manager to support the operational management of the LLP's Learning and Development function for a leading law firm outside of London, based in Tunbridge wells. This role will include management and development of staff, continuous review and improvement of learning and development initiatives, regular review of new and improved learning technology and to raise and advance the profile of the function within the firm.

About you:

  • Ideally working for a professional services company such as a law firm, accountancy, actuarial or consultancy
  • Experience in all aspects of L&D including delivery, design and e-learning

Some of the main duties of the Learning and Development Manager will include:

  • Responsibility for managing the annual training budget
  • Ensure implementation of all appraisal/performance review training and development requests
  • Use of the HR system to effectively track and administer training
  • Production of management reports
  • Onboarding new staff
  • Champion the services of the L&D department across the firm
  • Line management of staff, including appraisal, professional development and promotion
  • Continuous review and improvement of learning and development initiatives
  • Regular review of new and improved learning technology

What you need to be the successful Learning and Development Manager

  • The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of the legal sector and operational management experience in a Learning and Development capacity
  • The post holder will also be responsible for a team of three, therefore prior experience of line management would be desirable.
