Logisitics / Materials Administrator

Crawley, West Sussex - Permanent

£12.00 - £15.00 / hour

Logisitics / Materials Administrator needed for an exciting opportunity on behalf of my client, a leading medical devices company who specialise in oncology and cancer treatment.


Purpose of the Logisitics / Materials Administrator:

To plan and monitor the material flow associated with the BrachyTherapy Sources used in all BrachyTherapy equipment. This activity will include, but no limited to, the planning with third party manufacturers and shipment of all sources.


Responsibilities of the Logisitics / Materials Administrator:

* Monitor & maintain an accurate Master Schedule (MS) in SAP
* Ensure that the schedule is communicated to the Manufactures in a timely manner
* Ensure schedule changes are communicated immediately to the appropriate individuals
* Collate, monitor and update statistical data on source Wire Activity Performance
* Create & Maintain "Site Specific Details" (SSD) for each clinic under your control
* Ensure that the information on the SSD is accurate at all times
* Ensure that Suppliers and Forwarders are always in possessions of the latest SSD
* Ensure Manufacturers provide sources in line with the MS schedule
* Actively pursue the timely return of used sources to the point of manufacture
* Ensure Free Issue Material is made available to the Source providers in a timely manner
* Ensure all Inter-Company invoices are processed promptly and accurately
* Ensure any invoice or documentation queries get resolved promptly
* Help cover for other members of the group during absence
* Advise colleagues & management immediately of any perceived problems
* Participate in project activities with the broader team as reasonably requested
* Maintain good communications with all relevant departments / agencies
* Assist in the design & development of strategies to increase efficiency
* Supplier visits may periodically be required
* Any other duties as reasonably assigned


What you need to be the successful Logisitics / Materials Administrator:


* "A-level" standard or HNC or equivalent
* Experience within a similarly regulated industry environment
* Good demeanour and can communicate well with global teams
* Can work under pressure
* Work well with suppliers
* Excellent organization / coordination skills
* Understand emails to a high level - a lot of work is done via email
* Disciplined
