A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor at their offices in London. The Managing Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in delivering projects for HS2 and a large utilities provider and become part of the businesses exciting succession plans.
As the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you'll be leading a small team of surveyors delivering a variety of different projects with values of up to £20m. Your role will be focused around ensuring the projects are being delivered in accordance with the agreed designs and margins whilst also building long lasting and trusting relationships with the client, internal stakeholders and consultants. You will also be responsible for acting as a mentor for a small team of surveyors and supporting the current Commercial Manager with the overall running of this growing part of the business.
Managing Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity must have:
- Experience working within the UK's civil engineering, infrastructure or utilities sectors
- Excellent understanding of the NEC contract
- First class communication skills
- Strong commercial reporting skills
