Managing Quantity Surveyor
Central London
c.£80,000 + car & package

I have an opportunity for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a leading infrastructure contractor at their head office in Central London. As the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working with the senior management team and tasked with developing a team of surveyors who are delivering a £38m portfolio of projects for clients including National Grid and UK Power Networks. Individual projects range in value from £1m to £10m and include overhead lines, tunnels, new build substations and refurbishment of the clients exiting network.

As the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you'll be involved with pre & post contract duties, some of which will include:

  • Design and implementing a commercial strategy for the portfolio of work
  • Manage and mitigate commercial risks
  • Encourage and develop a culture of commercial and contractual awareness
  • Ensure margin improvement plans are in place and followed
  • Manage client disputes
  • Support your direct team with the development of their own careers

Managing Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have at least 5 years experience in a main contracting role as a Quantity Surveyor. Your experience must come from a civil engineering or infrastructure background with experience and knowledge of the NEC suite of contractors. Candidates applying must have a degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
