A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor delivering a major infrastructure project in Lincolnshire.
The Managing Quantity Surveyor will be working closely with the Commercial Manager and taking responsibility for the project from Pre-Construction through to final account settlement. You'll start your new position by working closely with the client and the design team, managing design changes as part of the professional services agreement. From Q2 in 2023, you'll go on site and take responsibility for the commercial delivery of the £100m+ project. At this stage, some of the Managing Quantity Surveyors responsibilities will include:
- Preparing activity schedules
- Review contract programmes and assist with any delay & disruption programmes
- Monitor subcontract activities and act accordingly
- Analyse the projects commercial progress
- Support the commercial team and wider project team with contractual and commercial queries
Managing Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have previous experience working on the pre construction phase of civil engineering and infrastructure projects within the UK. You'll need a strong understanding of the NEC contract, good communication skills and a drive to develop and further your own career.
