Shift Pattern:

6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm - these attract an 18% shift bonus.

10pm - 6am - 25% - shift bonus.

Brief

Manufacturing Technician needed for a leading engineering organisation based in Cheshire who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Manufacturing Technician that takes pride in their work. The ideal candidate would have previous experience working within a mechanical engineering field.

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Manufacturing Technician will include:

• Working to company safety guidelines.
• Ensuring the quality of production using SPC and following written SOP (Standard operating procedures) and RA (Risk Assessments).
• Achieving set volume production targets.
• Maintaining machines in line with preventative maintenance schedules.
• Reacting to resolve immediate mechanical break downs.
• Recording machine performance using the company Smart Factory data collection system for measuring performance and OEE.
• Taking part in company safety, quality, and performance programs.

What experience you need to be the successful Manufacturing Technician:

Esssential Experience:

• Time Served Apprentice, with ability to provide papers
• Experience in a Mechanical Engineering field

Desirable Experience:

• Experience with operating and/or maintenance of Power Presses or experience in automated assembly equipment
• Holding an up-to-date power press safety qualification
• Basic understanding of Statistical Process Control
• Forklift Truck license or Mobile Work Equipment Platform license
• Basic understanding of IT systems.
• Willingness to work overtime if required.
