An experienced Mechanical Assembly Technician is required to play a key role in the precision assembly of bespoke components and instrumentation, ensuring that all build specifications are followed meticulosity in providing flawless final products.

The Role:

So, what will you be doing as a Mechanical Assembly Technician?

• Apply specialist methods and techniques required to assemble, weld, test and inspect high precision and safety-critical components/instrumentation to the exacting quality standards required.
• To partake in and aid the skills transfer from the existing team, to ensure key expertise is retained within the Business rather than remaining exclusive to individuals.
• Provide high quality assembly/weld expertise and manufacturing methods.
• Undertake any other duties as may be requested by senior Managers.

What are we looking for in our next Mechanical Assembly Technician?

• Hold an Apprenticeship, HNC or ONC within an Engineering discipline
• Have significant previous experience within Tool making, Nuclear, pharmaceutical, Defense or Aerospace industries.
• Has worked to BS EN 287-1:2011 or ASME welding standards.
• Proficient knowledge and experience of the processes and tools used to facilitate a specialist mechanical assembly/welding role producing components for precision mechanical assemblies to include experience in assembly, inspection, welding, brazing and high precision finishes/polishing etc.
• Ability to Interpret and understand information contained within Electrical and Mechanical manufacturing documentation such as drawings, bills of materials, procurement and test specifications.
