Mechanical Engineer required for a national organisation based in Greater Manchester who are looking for a degree qualified Mechanical Engineer with at least 5 years relevant experience in the industry.

The successful Mechanical Engineer will want to work for this client not just for the exciting opportunity but because good wealth benefits are also available including:

What the role involves:

Some of the main duties of the Mechanical engineer include:

  • Ensure compliance with quality, building and environmental regulations, health and safety
  • Supervision and design on all aspects of mechanical services
  • Deliver schemes within budget and in relation with standards and timescales
  • Take on and co-ordinate building projects and maintenance within terms of funding arrangements/ service conditions for mechanical services
  • Working with other professionals including surveyors, builders, structural engineers and internal project teams
  • Arrange works to be carried out and supervise them to ensure compliance with conditions, monitoring contractors performances and carrying out inspections
  • Provide key customer service to clients
  • To be present at meetings and working in groups as requested
  • Carry out mechanical surveys of client property groups including schools, writing reports with maintaining and updating survey data

Mechanical Engineer key skills and experience:

In order to be the successful Mechanical Engineer and be a part of this great opportunity you'll need to have the following:

  • Be a member of CIBSE or have an equivalent membership of a professional institution
  • Ideally have at least 5 years' experience with a degree in mechanical engineering
  • Have the capability to manage and prioritise multiple projects within budget
  • Have knowledge of legislation including health and safety, CDM and building regulations
  • Have excellent IT skills using Microsoft Office Programmes
  • Have the capability to use AutoCAD and produce scale drawings
  • Be able to survey a building, produce reports, asset management plans and identify mechanical faults
  • Great oral and written communication
  • Full UK driving licence
