Rate: £35.70 per hour
Term: 11 Months

Medical Scientific Liaison Officer needed for an organisation based in High Wycombe who are looking for a Medical Scientific Liaison Officer to provide scientific support to internal and external customers, as well as delivering the sharing of knowledge to internal stakeholders through mediums such as training to ensure high standards of brand/therapy expertise.

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Medical Scientific Liaison Officer will include:
* Respond appropriately to unsolicited requests for information and/or data
* Gather information and insights on therapy area including competitor landscape and their medical and scientific needs
* Exchange disease area knowledge and opinions in order to understand the emerging opinions
* Increase customer understanding of Janssen products and processes (eg. Clinical data, IIS, clinical trials, compliance processes), according to their expressed interests and needs and to seek advice on the further development of products
* Manage and maintain positive relationships with key opinion leaders
* Identify key opinion leaders and their areas of clinical/scientific expertise
* Be the point of contact for investigators proposing investigator-initiated studies (IIS) and manage said studies in collaboration with GCO
* Meet with Global Trial Managers within Global Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs as required to provide relevant information from potential investigators, address any issues with ongoing studies and share best practice
* Interpret emerging data and publications from studies and identify how this may support UK needs while networking with SKM
* Actively engage with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with the necessary codes of practice and laws governing promotion and sale of medicines within the UK and Ireland
* Attend courses and industry meetings, read industry publications and discuss therapy area with colleagues to keep abreast with developments in the pharmaceutical industry and pharmaceutical medicine
* Complete annual Drug Safety and HCC Awareness training
* Report adverse events and complaints in a timely manner to Drug Safety in accordance with the current applicable guidelines and SOP to maintain compliance

What you need to be the successful Medical Scientific Liaison Officer:
In order to be the successful Medical Scientific Liaison Officer and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:
* Medical Doctor, Pharmacist or hold a Science degree/PHD
* Substantive knowledge of the therapeutic area and/or industry experience in a Medical Scientific Liaison Officer or scientific advisor post
* High customer focus with awareness of the importance of business results
* Innovative with the ability to coordinate and drive a complex and changing environment
* Proactive and organized under pressure
* Fluent English language skills
* Knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office suite
* Be willing to travel domestically and internationally

Must be eligible for Security Clearance
