Paraplanner, Redhill. A Financial service company are seeking an experience Paraplanner.

The main focus of this role is to oversee the paraplanning function whilst actively producing financial planning reports and research for advises. Additionally, the client is looking for someone to mentor a current team mentor whilst they work towards getting Diploma qualified.

Main duties of the Paraplanner will include:

  • Check all paperwork relevant to the client recommendation file is present
  • Confirm client risk profile is determined
  • Discuss client objectives with the Adviser.
  • Identify and obtain the information necessary to compile financial cashflow forecast
  • Identify areas for planning
  • Undertake research both independently and with the Financial Planner to identify suitable solutions to meet the clients' needs
  • Prepare information/comparisons for analysis
  • Consider current and future allocation of assets for investment strategy with regard to client risk profile
  • Prepare draft recommendation reports to be discussed/signed off
  • Prepare suitability letters in accordance with the agreed recommendations
  • Complete application / proposals forms
  • Ensure all compliance paperwork is in order


  • Act as main point of contact and deal effectively with queries from clients and other parties
  • through effective communication
  • Review investment portfolio, asset allocation, risk profile etc.
  • Management and project delivery
  • Manage and train Trainee Paraplanner and report writing team
  • Involvement in developing and refining the paraplanning process
  • Assist with marketing and securing use of the paraplanning service to internal advisers
  • Delivery of the service to advisers within defined turnaround agreements

Skills and qualifications as a Paraplanner:

  • Paraplanning: 3 years
  • Understanding of the financial planning process
  • Broad knowledge of financial services world
  • High level of technical knowledge


  • Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent Level 4 qualification (Essential)
  • Willing to work towards Chartered/Advanced Diploma (Desirable)
  • Diploma of Higher Education (Required)
  • AF3 or AF7 qualification and experience in Defined Benefit transfers
