Payroll Administrator

Location: Reading, Berkshire Salary: £17 - £22 per hour

Working for a global business technology business based near Reading. We are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator for a three month contract who is able to work across the various functions internally and externally including HR, finance and the outsourced payroll providers. You will be providing a full end to end service that manages the monthly payroll cycle within a country and ensure employees are paid accurately and tax filings and payments are made on time. Once payments have been made all payroll related transactions must be recorded in the payroll system and at the end of the month balance sheet reconciliations will be prepared to support the employee's benefits & tax liabilities.

  • Good knowledge of payroll
  • Experience of completing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Immediately available

About the role

  • Managing a number of payrolls across the EMEA region
  • Prepare input to send to payroll provider
  • Review the output to ensure all items have been processed and are in line with expectation
  • Prepare payments to employees, benefit providers and tax authorities
  • Ensure all monthly, quarterly and annual tax filings are made on time
  • Book accounting entries arising from the monthly payroll
  • Book employee related accruals i.e. annual bonus payments, vacation accrual, any annual tax payments
  • Prepare monthly Balance sheet reconciliations to support payroll and tax accounts
  • Other ad hoc audit activity and reporting as required, including compliance auditing
