PHP Developer required by an IT solutions organisation who are based close to Brighton. The PHP Developer will utilise their in-depth knowledge of using PHP, HTML, CSS and SQL to develop new and enhance existing features. This role follows a hybrid remote working model with a combination of working onsite as well as working from home.

The successful PHP Developer would ideally be degree educated or have sufficient professional experience, with a natural interest in programming. If you have experience using Laravel and you have coded, programmed or developed in any of above-mentioned languages we would love to hear from you!

Some of the main duties of the PHP Developer will include:

• Recommend/Design services/applications which meet our business needs.
• Maintain and apply up to date, knowledge of database concepts, object and data modelling techniques and design principles
• Develop to specification & within agreed timeframes; ensuring a well-structured application, that supports rapid future change.
• Take ownership position on projects.

What experience you need to be the successful PHP Developer:

• PHP (incl. OOP and MVC)
• HTML5
• CSS
• Experience of using Git or an equivalent revision control system
• Javascript, JQuery, Vue.js
• Advanced SQL skills (preferably MariaDB/MySQL)
• MariaDB server management and optimisation
• A strong understanding of the Laravel PHP framework
• Continuous integration and delivery: preferably bitbucket
• Understand azure cloud technologies, and how these can be used to our advantage: Web-apps, Application insights, Azure monitor
