An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Planning Engineer or Project Controls Engineer to join the busy Civil Engineering Division of a leading main contractor on a recently won major infrastructure scheme based north of Birmingham in the West Midlands. They will join a highly regarded organisation that has a rich history in providing engineering solutions to their clients in the UK.
The Planning Engineer / Project Controls Engineer will be site based on this challenging infrastructure scheme. This is predominantly a client facing role, they will work closely with the site team and client and be responsible for administering the Primavera P6 programme in compliance with NEC contract.
The successful candidate will have a civil engineering background and experience working on infrastructure projects for UK main contractors. Additionally the must have strong Primavera P6 skills and a very good understanding of NEC form of contract. The longer term role within the business is Planning focused the successful candidate must have the experience to transmission into this role.
Candidate
- Hold a construction related qualification - HNC / HND / Degree
- Good understanding of civil engineering techniques and processes
- Strong site based experience
- Main contracting background.
- Strong knowledge of one of the main planning software packages - Primavera P6, MS Project, Asta Powerproject
- Excellent NEC contract experience
- Strong communication and client facing skills.
