The Role:

So, what will you be doing as a Power Systems Engineer?

• Executing a broad spectrum of engineering tasks throughout the project lifecycle, from bidding to delivery.
• Planning and executing engineering assignments, involving judgment in the assessment, selection, and adaptation of designs or design techniques to fulfil established requirements.
• Taking responsibility for the technical performance of the product.

• Coordinating technical tasks within the team and serving as the main technical contact for the customer.
• Participating in project meetings and delivering comprehensive technical and progress reports.
• Staying informed about the latest developments in the chosen field through seminar attendance and studying technical literature.
• Contributing to business improvement initiatives and supporting other activities within the organization.

What are we looking for in our next Power Systems Engineer?

• Possess a degree or equivalent qualification in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing design and simulation tools such as MATLAB and Simulink.
• Expertise and hands-on experience in the realm of power electronics.
• Established track record in product design and testing within a relevant professional setting.
• Extensive knowledge spanning various engineering domains, including systems, mechanical, and motors.
• Familiarity with best practices in the design lifecycle process, including gated design phases and design reviews.
• Effective in customer interactions, with a willingness and ability to deliver presentations.
• Proficient in the 'live' testing of low-voltage (i.e., <1000) electronic or electrical equipment.
• Positions may require security clearance without restrictions.
