Principal FPGA Design Engineer needed for a multinational defence organisation based in Greater London who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Principal FPGA Design Engineer that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of development using FPGA design systems containing multiple FPGAs to develop firmware and hardware. If you have previously developed FPGA, we would love to hear from you.
The successful candidate would desirably have a relevant degree - i.e., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computing etc and have a keen interest in FPGA development. If you have commercial experience working on radar or related DSP applications that would be a plus!

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Principal FPGA Design Engineer will include:
To use good engineering practice to produce firmware for new, innovative and profitable products and solutions for the business.
To be responsible for defining requirements for a feature/bug fix up to full system level; design and document a solution that meets the requirements; and, implement, test and verify the design meets the requirements with supported test evidence.
To support and enhance existing firmware in accordance with business and commercial requirements.
Provide expert knowledge of electronic design, test and certification of systems based around advanced FPGAs.
What experience you need to be the successful Principal FPGA Design Engineer:
An excellent Masters or Bachelor's Degree from a good university.
10 or more years' experience working on FPGA designs.
Experience working on systems containing multiple FPGAs.
Proven track record of analysing system requirements at the highest level and decomposing them into a suitable implementation for a product.
Experience working on Radar or related DSP applications.
