This Purchasing Co-ordinator opportunity is a contract position, which will transfer into a permanent role. If you have skills in master planning, MRP and buying for an Engineering company, then you will have the right applications to join this busy Production department.
Some of the main duties of the Purchasing Co-ordinator will include:-
Handling the Group procurement process including invoice tracking (to completion on Supplier side), materials planning, MRP (structuring products), pricing (procurement) together with understanding of Quality procedures. Administration, utilising the organisations internal database and MRP system. You will be planning for a number of production and supply chain processes, ensuring that delivery schedules are adhered to. Your duties will also include interacting with Sales and implementing training for existing production staff to bring them in line with higher level processes (build, delivery, stock control). Manage tighter supplier and quality delivery controls with the critical part supplier. Maintain and publish supplier KPI data.
The successful Purchasing Co-ordinator will have some experience of purchasing materials through current suppliers required to complete the manufacturing process, including purchase order to invoice matching. You will understand the importance of quality processes and be equipped with some proven ability of implementing such a process and getting stakeholder buy in. Strong administration skills are required as well as rounded knowledge of MRP systems, together with attention to detail.
