I am currently supporting a leading MSP on an EXCLUSIVE basis in the Surrey area.
Programme Manager
As a Programme Manager you will build relationships with key cooperate accounts and work with their teams on IT projects from inception to deployment.
To provide management of programmes of activity, directly and by managing Project Managers, for external customer works, from scoping to planning to delivery.
To give management a single view of project activity, resource planning, escalation, control financial project budgets and performance reporting.
As a Programme Manager you will report directly to the MD and be responsible for Project Team Leaders, Contractors and Project Administrators.
As a Programme Manager you will have previous experience within infrastructure projects / programmes including cabling, wireless and networks.

Programme Manager Essential Skills:
- 2 A-Levels, relevant NVQ or equivalent
- Full driving licence
- Recognised Project Management Training course and certification
- 5 years Project Management experience in IT industry (ideally infrastructure - cabling, wireless, networks)
- Functional / change management experience
- Stakeholder management experience
- MS Projects and Visio
- H&S risk assessment
Programme Manager Skill Requirements:
- Well-spoken and smart appearance, demonstrating excellent customer facing skills
- Competent in Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Projects and Visio
- Extensive experience of business analysis delivering quality on budget and on time
- Experience of capacity management and resource planning dealing with a range of interested stakeholders
- Significant experience of managing stakeholder relationships
- The ability to think strategically and find pragmatic solutions to key business issues
- A strong understanding of network infrastructure from cabling to switches.
- Able to identify and communicate clients' requirements
- Able to prioritise, demonstrating good organisational skills and able to use initiative
- Ability to strengthen new and existing customer relationships
- A positive attitude

Programme Manager Requirements:
- Review and develop strategy, methodology and work practices for the project team
- Hold regular meetings and communication with key accounts to understand their project portfolio and timescales - identifying our role within those projects
- Surveying and scoping project requirements, creating project solution documentation
- Overseeing allocated projects, such as high scale projects/client accounts that are complex in nature:
- Setting and reviewing project objectives
- Scope definition with customers
- Ensuring deadlines are met in a timely and efficient fashion
- Mitigating risks
- Managing the project budget
- Created RAMS and RAID documents as required
- Providing resolution for problems as they occur
- Attending client and internal meetings ensuring agenda in place and minutes documented and issued
- Communicating to key stakeholders during projects and programmes
- Manage variations to project scope through change control procedure
- Ensuring the delivery of projects are achieved within the constraints of time, cost and quality and to customer satisfaction
- Escalation point for team providing resolution and supporting as required
- Supporting role for key account managers in programme managing of the account
- Coordinate and present post project implementation meetings as required
- Reporting on project status to relevant parties; presales metrics, capabilities and achievements; trends in services; team KPI achievement and other reports as required
- Ensure Health & Safety procedures and policy adhered to throughout all projects
- Ensure all information is handled within company, ISO and legislative guidelines
Programme Manager Team Management:
- Leading and mentoring project staff, including third parties and contractors when necessary
- Responsible for support and management of project staff in line with business procedures
- Provide regular one to one reviews, team meetings and the annual performance reviews
- Integration of project activities with each area of the business
