Project Controls Manager

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Project Controls Manager to join the specialist pharmaceutical division of an award winning construction consultancy. The Project Controls Manager will join a dynamic organization who are highly regarded for their expertise in delivering major complex schemes across the UK and internationally.

The Project Controls Manager will be responsible for providing project controls services that includes Cost Management, Planning and Scheduling, Project Accounting, Change and Risk Management to key clients in the pharmaceutical industry across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The Project Controls Manager will split their working week between home working and various live projects so the successful candidate will need to be happy to travel when required.

The Project Controls Manager will be experienced in all aspects of schedule and cost controls and have a good understanding of design, construction and cost programmes. Additionally the Project Controls Manager will be a proficient user of Primavera P6 and possess excellent communication and client facing skills.

Duties

• Establishing an information control and information flow system for the project and coordinating its implementation and adherence during the project duration.
• Establishing and agreeing with the client procedures for review, approval and transfer of design and engineering documentation among the project participants.
• Developing and agreeing with the client the preliminary project cash flow (finance schedule), cost control and reporting procedures.
• Provide a monthly project report that shall include an executive summary - status about cost and budget, time schedule and works completed, done/open approvals, major next steps; cost and budget overview - status on orders against agreed budget, status of change orders, deviations from budget and recommendation for adjustment, cash flow forecast at least 3 months ahead.
• Establishing and agreeing with the client the form and the procedure of cost estimation/calculation.
• Establishing and agreeing with the client the form and the procedure of progress measurement and forecasting for all project contractors and overall project progress (in line with investment reporting principles of percent of completion, each milestone achievement and acceptance by the client will bear its weight in % related to monetary values) and S-Curves for late/early/forecasted values.
• Verifying the works completed by package contractors and report against the approved project delivery program.
• Tracking and controlling any changes in the delivery program including work scope/time and cost changes and advising the client by using decision proposal.
• Collaborating with other disciplines of project controls, as well as other project support functions, to help deliver project goals in keeping with the client's principles of trust, transparency, and teamwork.
• Helping to lead and ensure the identification and assessment of all risks, opportunities, trends, and changes within the programme, including associated schedule and cost impact.
