Project Engineering Manager

My client based in Chelmsford is a world leading manufacturer of technologies critical for humankind, including vital components for radiotherapy machines and the image devices used in ground breaking space missions. The site employees around 1000 people.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating with cross-discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
• Meeting with project team members to identify and resolve issues.
• Submitting project deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to quality standards.
• Preparing status reports by gathering, analysing, and summarizing relevant information.
• Establishing effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution.
• Facilitating change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget.
• Coordinating the development of user manuals, training materials, and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of the process or system to the clients.
• Identifying and developing new opportunities with clients.
• Obtaining customer acceptance of project deliverables.
• Managing customer satisfaction within the project transition period.
• Conducting post-project evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements.
• To ensure that all project documentation processes comply with codes of practice and legislative and Health & Safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Experienced in leading and developing a team
• HND or BSC in construction management (essential) as well as supplementary qualifications (desired) in Modern Methods of construction, Timber and Modern Frame Buildings, Structural and Sustainable Construction Methods and BREEAM
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
• Proven track record of delivering complex construction projects and managing various infrastructure upgrades.
• Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion.
• Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies and contractor management.
• Experience as a construction, electrical and mechanical engineering project manager.
• LEV experience is a plus
• Able to complete projects in a timely manner
• Experience overseeing a construction project.
• Budget management experience
• Experienced IT user able to use technology such as Microsoft Excel/ Project for monitoring projects and communicating data to stakeholders. Experience on CAD and SAP would be an advantage
