Project manager within Highways and Civils required for a national client who are looking to employ an experienced Project Manager with experience in highways/ Smart motorways and industry knowledge.

What the role entails:

Some of the main responsibilities of the Project Manager - Highways and Civils include:

  • Overseeing complete works management and planning through management of the workforce, sub-contractors and client relationships
  • Develop and implementation of the site business plan
  • Manage the delivery of projects
  • Budgeting and programming
  • Identify risks and ensure high and safety is adhered to

In order to be the successful Project Manager - Highways and Civils and have a chance to work for this exciting client you'll need the following:

  • Experience within the Highways / Motorway Technology/ Civils industry (eg. Traffic Signs, Street Lighting, VMS - Variable Message Signs, MIDAS, Vehicle Detectors, Roadside emergency telephones, RADAR, AMI - Advanced Motorway Indicators)
  • Excellent skills of written and oral communication
  • Full UK driving license
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Commercial awareness

Qualifications required for a Project Manager - Highways and Civils consist of:

  • CSCS Black card
  • SMSTS / SSSTS
  • Prince 2
  • Previous experience as a project management
  • HNC / HND in Construction or civil Engineering (preferred)
  • Manual Handling / First Aid / Health and Safety
