Project Manager needed for a multinational utility's organisation based in Durham who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Project Manager that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of demonstrable & varied experience in construction related client-side project management.
The successful candidate would need to have total Project Management, ensuring all projects (which includes lifecycle works and small works) are managed, operated and completed with uncompromised efficiency, on time and to budget and have a keen interest in Project Management. If you have experience of PFI project delivery hat would be a plus!

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Project Manager will include:
- Total Project Management, ensuring all projects (which includes lifecycle works and small works) are managed, operated and completed with uncompromised efficiency, on time and to budget.
- The role supports project delivery across the whole of the Northeast within Region 1 of Public Sector and provides project services to UHND, Gateshead Schools, Newcastle Schools, Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue and Durham and Cleveland Tactical Training Centre
- Liaison with all relevant parties involved with projects, including working with the Client to interpret and develop a brief/scope of works in order achieving sign off prior to works commencement, planning, during the works and through to completion.
- Follow the Company and on-site 'Developments' process ensuring all relevant documentation is prepared/completed including the provision of costs, programmes, risk analysis, works documentation etc.
- Lead governance document development and approval process management for the projects team
- Produce an overall plan for works (including design, procurement, governance and associated document review and sign off, works/construction, commissioning, training etc) for the project to ensure the completion date is achieved and without incident.
What experience you need to be the successful Project Manager:
- Demonstrable & varied experience in construction related client-side project management
- Experience of delivering healthcare projects - Bonus
- Experience of PFI project delivery
- Thorough understanding of the principles of project management for construction
- Sound organisational/co-ordination skills
- Dynamic & Collaborative approach
- Ability to provide professional guidance & task management for junior team members
- Ability to mediate conflict situations
- Facilities Management experience
- Good Health & Safety knowledge
