SUMMARY:
The Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of the companirs NA's renewable bio-energy projects. The Project Manager is broadly deployable and ultimately responsible for leading, coordinating and implementing various bioenergy projects in North America, on time and within budget. The Project Manager is responsible for managing scope, cost, schedule, staffing, and vendors related to assigned projects. They also provide project status reports to Sr. Leadership as requested.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Working on several bioenergy projects in North America, with a team of driven and experienced professionals with outcomes meeting or exceeding all project KPI's.
  • Managing the overall project progress and timeline/schedule from kick-off through project completion. Responsible for overall project budget and profit margins.
  • Managing resources and expenses efficiently and effectively.
  • Tracking deliverables, quality, progress, problems and solutions, updating the customer with relevant information during the project.
  • Collaborating between the U.S. team and the Netherlands Project Management team.
  • Collaborating with engineering department for technical specifications, process support and problem solving.
  • Implementing and handling modifications when necessary to meet project objectives.
  • Coordinating activities of the project engineers, constructors and process technologists for assigned projects.
  • Collaborating with project engineers, drawing up technical specifications for the suppliers.
  • Coordinating procurement, logistics, commissioning, and site constructors with regard to project schedule.
  • Ensuring coordination with suppliers, commercially, technically on project schedule.
  • Ensuring compliance with Environmental, Safety and Health regulations and reporting incidents.
  • Ensuring full compliance with the project contract.
  • Writing, managing and executing clear and concise CO's and RFI's from start to finish.
  • Ensuring complete satisfaction from the client regarding project execution and plant performance.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors or Masters level education, in the field of process-, mechanical- or electrical engineering, construction management and/or project management required.
  • Demonstrable 3-5 years of experience as project manager in construction/civil projects, capital goods projects, contract management and/or equipment construction.
  • Project Management Certification (PMP) or equivalent required.
  • Strong technical experience in wastewater, biogas projects or gas reprocessing projects is a plus.
  • Leadership ability
  • Hands on mentality to solve project challenges working alongside your team.

  • COMPUTER SKILLS: Competent in the use of electrical engineering software, Microsoft Office; especially Excel.
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical information and procedures or governmental regulations; Proficient in English; Writes clearly and informatively; Presents numerical data, both verbally and in written form; Effectively writes or presents comprehensive reports; Responds well to questions.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to use mathematics to solve problems.
  • CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS: Displays willingness and timeliness to make decisions; Exhibits sound and accurate judgment; Includes appropriate people in decision-making process.
