Summary of a Project Manager

Project Manager needed for a market leading infrastructure organisation based in the City of Westminster who are seeking a Project Manager with significant knowledge and experience of highway engineering and urban design within consultancy environments, as well as using local and national standards. Our client required that the Project Manager is recognised in their specialist discipline with an established and developing network within the industry, and a familiarity with local government and private sector clients.

Key Duties for the Project Manager

  • Manage designs and implement highway engineering solutions
  • Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with important stakeholders and other notable parties
  • Complete various reports on an ad-hoc and monthly basis to aid in the efficiency of business practice as per company guidelines
  • Ensure daily correspondences are optimised, increasing the professionalism and efficiency of internal and external communication
  • Ensure all relevant members of staff are kept up to date with progress
  • Maintain and implement various IMS and ISO registrations, while operating within these standards to implement and preserve best practices
  • Manage risk, identifying and avoiding where possible and reporting incidents while working to prevent subsequent occurrences

Essentials for the Project Manager

  • Education at degree level
  • CSCS certified
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An ability to remain neutral, honest and respectful while ensuring to uphold high business ethic and customer service skills
  • Excellent time management and planning skills
  • Ability to work to tight project deadlines and within budget
  • Experienced in managing, guiding or developing teams.
  • Individuality and the ability to work independently to aid with the development of team performance
  • The ability to work as a part of a team
  • Experience in tendering processes
  • Awareness of P&L
  • Experience in working in a busy and high pressure working environment
  • Attention to detail, ensuring high quality
  • Experience in working in an office and on site
  • Competent in the use of role related software applications, such as Microsoft Office
  • Self-motivated
  • Must be eligible for Security Clearance
