Brief

Project Manager needed for a large construction and energy organisation based in the Southampton area who are looking to employ an experienced and creative Project Manager to manage and successfully deliver projects within the business, managing customer relationships, and retain customers by meeting and exceeding expectations.

What the role entails:

As a Project Manager you will:

• Direct and manage the project team to deliver projects to time, cost, quality targets and standards
• Ensure safety targets and standards are maintained
• Ensure sustainability targets are achieved
• Manage the customer relationship during delivery
• Ensure the Company and Divisional procedures and policies are followed
• Manage external consultants (e.g. design) to enable delivery
• Manage and deliver operational excellence and efficiency
• Utilise BIM, where appropriate, to optimise project delivery, quality and drive safety
• Effectively execute business strategy - Customer Focussed First, Construction Excellence and Innovation

What experience you need to be a successful Project Manager:

• Experience of project management within, highways maintenance, street lighting and public realm sector
• Experienced at working on multi stakeholder projects in highly political environments;
• Confident individual, with good leadership skills
• Financial and commercial awareness, with a desire to continuously improve safety and sustainability performance;
• Valid CSCS card

Desirable Experience:

• A relevant professional qualification, such as APMP, and a relevant technical qualification;
• Experience of Lean Construction principles and Lean practitioner training.
