Position: Project Manager

Responsibilities:
- Lead (facilitate), guide, manage and motivate the Project Teams through the project engineering process.
- Ensure that products are planned, implemented, released, and supported consistent with the agreed standards and strategy and risks are identified and managed.
- Plan and manage releases to meet Product time-to-market and cost targets to the agreed standards.
- Present regular progress reports, and to escalate any issues for resolution to the Programme Management Team.
- Work with the Project and SCRUM Teams to achieve Phase Reviews in accordance with project engineering process.
- Ensures adherence and compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.
- Work with the Functional Managers and Programme Managers to plan future staff, skill, and tool requirements.
- Produce when required accurate project estimates of material costs, obtain necessary approval for this expenditure, and manage the actual spend against the approved limit.
- Coaching/Leading teams in Agile Ways of Working including dependency, risk and issue management.
- Facilitate impediment removal for ART/Program to deliver its objectives against commitments.
Required skills and experience:
- Engineering degree qualification or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- A combination of strong commercial and engineering acumen with relevant experience.
- 3+ years' experience in program/project management/team leadership in product development
- Proven ability to work in an Agile environment for product development.
- Ability to thrive in an environment of constant change.
- Persistent and persuasive behaviour to own and drive cross functional collaboration.
- Demonstrable record on delivery on stretched targets and goals.
- Proven track record of management and reporting to budgets (circa £1m).
- Proven ability to work across and vertically in a medium size organisation.
- A good knowledge and application of methods, tools, and applications in a high-tech Engineering business a distinct advantage.
- Excellent people management, interpersonal and communications skills.
- A strong negotiator and influencer both internally and externally.
- Experience in the medical device industry is a plus.
- Fluent in English, preferably with a second language.
