Project Quantity Surveyor
c.£55k + package
An opportunity for a Project Quantity Surveyor has arisen with one of the UK's top civil engineering contractors on a long term framework covering Berkshire. Valued at £10m per year and covering both reactive repairs and major projects, the contract promises to provide the successful Project Quantity Surveyor exposure to interesting projects, an opportunity to put your own mark on the contract and assist with the development of junior surveyors.
As the Project Quantity Surveyor, you'll be carrying out pre & post contract duties on a variety of projects including highway maintenance, bridge maintenance, street lighting, improvement schemes, emergency response and surface salting. Some of your duties will include:
- Sub-contract management including the placing of subcontract orders, ensuring subcontract conditions are being followed, subcontractor procurement, measuring, negotiating of prices and rates, dispute resolution
- Contract management including on site measures, identify and challenge changes & variations, manage commercial and contractual queries from the client, prepare and submit variations to the client
- Cost forecasting
- Prepare and submit CVR's
