Project Scheduler/Senior Scheduler

Project Scheduler/Senior Scheduler needed for an Engineering organisation working across the UK. We have two exciting roles for a Project Scheduler based in Bristol and a Senior Scheduler based in Portsmouth. Both of these opportunities are on a work from home basis.

As Project Scheduler you will work closely with Project Managers to develop and maintain detailed resource loaded schedules of projects using PPM2016. You will have proven experience within a variety of schedule analysis and optimisation techniques.

The Senior Scheduler will have a sound working knowledge of programme management principles and how project palling, scheduling and control activities underpin them. The successful candidate will have previous experience in the development and delivery of complex project schedules using proprietary planning tools, specifically PPM2016 or Primavera P6.

What the Project Scheduler/Senior Scheduler roles entail:

Some of the main duties of the Project Scheduler/Senior Scheduler will include:

• Develop and maintain summary level schedule reports Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, and other program management tools used to support critical path analysis, near-term tasks work authorizations, priority-based resource allocations, performance variances and to support cost/schedule integration 3. Identify major milestones, decision points, project life-cycle and other project events

• Troubleshoot and monitor potential scheduling problems

• Report on trends, forecasts, project contingency, and schedule risks and opportunities.

• Update the schedule and compare the actual work performed against the baseline program

Senior Scheduler

• Maintain project schedules and keep project resources on track, provide regular project updates to stakeholders, and maintain contact with staff to monitor job progress.

• Integrate multiple schedules into a master project schedule, including base lining, status and performance measurement baselines

• Using EVM techniques such as Cost Performance Index (CPI), Schedule Performance Index (SPI), Estimate at Completion (EAC) and Estimate to Complete (ETC)

• Leadership of an IDT's scheduling and project controls support capability

• Development and reporting of project schedule data to senior stakeholders (operating at IDT lead, Director level and above) in a complex project's environment

What experience you need to be the successful Project Scheduler/Senior Scheduler:

• Construction and development of project schedules from first principles in a proprietary scheduling tool such as PPM2016;

• Knowledge of and the ability to apply a variety of schedule analysis and optimisation techniques (such as Critical Path analysis, schedule variance, ) 3. Understand how to work with key stakeholders to monitor and control the project through the various phases of the project lifecycle

• Understand schedule performance tools and techniques, such as Earned Value Management (EVM)

Senior Scheduler

• Assist in defining and implementing schedule software management processes and procedures

• Troubleshoot and monitor potential scheduling problems

• Significant knowledge of the development and delivery of complex project schedules using proprietary planning tools, specifically PPM2016 or Primavera P6

• Detailed knowledge of a number of technical areas, such as: project controls, EVM, governance and assurance, risk analysis and management, cost management/control/reporting, benchmarking, data analysis and reporting.

• Development, introduction and implementation of project schedule analytics and reporting methodologies and techniques (such Critical Path analysis) into an IDT
