Quality Assurance Engineer (QA Engineer)

Leatherhead

Quality Assurance Engineer needed for a leading software company based in Leatherhead who are looking to employ an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer who ideally has experience with SpecFlow and experience working with Agile/Scrum methodology.

  • Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum
  • Normal working hours 37.5

What the Quality Assurance Engineer role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Quality Assurance Engineer will include:

  • Carry out manual and exploratory testing
  • Review specifications of requirements and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • All information, whether internal or received from external parties, is handled, classified and managed responsibly
  • Maintain awareness of all legal requirements and company policies, including information security and data protection policies, and comply with them
  • Perform regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Estimate, plan, coordinate and carry out testing
  • To help evaluate test reports to log any defects and maintain the automated test suite
  • Testing software to verify compliance with acceptance criteria and identify any defects and problems with usability
  • Identify, register, document and track bugs

What you need to be the successful Quality Assurance Engineer:

In order to be the successful Quality Assurance Engineer and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:

  • Full software lifecycle experience in a software house environment or large IT department
  • Manual and Automation Testing
  • Microsoft C# or similar
  • GIT
  • Aptitude for learning
  • Excellent communications - both written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritise
  • Problem analysis and solution development
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-starter
