Quality Assurance Engineer needed for a highly reputable, multinational defence and aerospace organization based in Ampthill. My client is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to deal with quality defects on the shop floor products. This will include liaising with the Operations, Engineering and Manufacturing teams to understand the issue and help to resolve it. They will need to do this by: containing the problem to stop it getting worse, quarantining the defective part such that it can't be used, resolving the issue with the defective part to either rework it or replace it and liaising with the wider team to ensure effective communication.

The required skills and qualifications of the Quality Assurance Engineer:

For this role in particular the Quality Assurance Engineer should:

• Be able to deal confidently with people from a wide range of backgrounds and technical ability in a high pressure environment
• Effectively decision make and take responsibility to see through to resolution
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Have a high level of IT skills with standard MS office packages

The desired skills/qualities of the Quality Assurance Engineer:

• Ideally a quality background although training will be given
• Knowledge of ISO9001
• Ideally knowledge of SAP Quality Notifications although training will be given
• For this role in particular the candidate will have to be eligible for SC clearance or hold it currently.
