A Quality Engineer is needed for a respected and highly reputable Defence firm based in Kent who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Quality Engineer that takes pride in their work and experience with NPI, Six Sigma Tools and internal and supplier audits/

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Quality Engineer will include:

• The Quality Engineer will be handling customer complaints. From initial contact, containment, RCA, preventative action and closure.
• You will Lead and facilitate the use of Six Sigma tools (RCA etc) and perform 8D, 5 why, Ishikowa to ensure issues are not repeated and drive quality improvements.
• The Quality Engineer will be carrying out supplier evaluation, performance measurement and re-evaluation activities (including occasional supplier visits).
• You will be the Quality input on new projects.
• The Quality Engineer will conduct internal and Supplier audits as required.

What experience you need to be the successful Quality Engineer:

• You must have Quality Engineering experience.
• NPI (New Product Introduction) experience, working with engineering through to production release.
• Experience of a QMS like 9001:2015
• An Engineering Degree, HND / HNC or relevant apprenticeship would be an advantage
• Six Sigma tools (Root Cause Analysis etc) and 8D, 5 why, Ishikowa.
