Quality Inspector (contract)

Quality Inspector needed for a leading Aerospace / Defence organisation based in Gloucestershire. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with the below.

What the Quality Inspector role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Quality Inspector will include:
* Inspecting incoming material & supporting documentation
* Review of suppliers First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) against material received
* Inspection of outgoing material - product & documentation (potentially including the use of CMM)
* Support in the preparation of FAIRs for outgoing material
* Completing inspection to company-specific procedures
* Support in assuring that the Quality approval requirements are met by the business
* Completion of agreed personal & departmental objectives & initiatives
* Perform duties in accordance with company policies, procedures & processes
* There may be additional activities to perform from time-to-time in order to maximise the contribution to Customer goals & objectives

What you need to be the successful Quality Inspector:
In order to be the successful Quality Inspector and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:
* UK Citizen & able to be security cleared
* Proven experience working within quality management system
* Knowledge of manufacturing environment
* Good communication skills demonstrated both verbally & in writing, in the form of presentations & recommendations for improvement
* Work effectively with others
* Demonstrated experience in building good working relationships & gaining trust & respect with both internal & external customers
* Plan work & deliver on time
* Demonstrate a positive 'can do' attitude
* Use your own initiative within the scope of the role
* Proactively manage your own workload to in order to achieve objectives
* Good application of Microsoft packages & software relevant to the role (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
* Previous experience working in an aerospace organisation
* Proven experience of working within a Quality discipline
* A knowledge of IPC 610 & 620 & aerospace quality standards (AS9100)
* Experience with First Article Reporting approval methods (AS9102)
* Other aerospace topics (FOD, Counterfeit avoidance etc)

Must be eligible for Security Clearance
