Quality Manager needed for a multi-disciplined manufacturer based in Workington who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Quality Manager that takes pride in their work to lead and develop a Team of Quality Engineers, Inspectors and Support Staff in the development and provision of a 'first class' Quality Assurance and Control service, systems and technology.

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Quality Manager will include:
- To lead and develop a Team of Quality Inspectors, Engineers and support staff and provide a professional and cost efficient Quality Assurance and Control Service, including the deployment of a variety of forms of NDE
- To develop and maintain an effective Quality Assurance system which ensures robust compliance with ISO 9001/19443 and other industry standards
- Manage the Quality Control Systems to ensure that customer quality requirements are achieved including effective quality control of suppliers
- Develop key Quality Metrics and Trends which drive a robust programme of improvements
- Monitor production activities across the site, and occasionally our off site works, to minimise defective work and promote a right first time approach
What experience you need to be the successful Quality Manager:
- Relevant Lead Auditor Qualification
- Proficient Use of Microsoft Packages
- An appreciation of health, safety and environmental issues in an engineering business. Problem Solving & Continual Improvement Techniques - 5S, 8D, 5Why's or Isikawa. Detailed knowledge of Quality techniques, processes, standards, inspection and NDE techniques
