A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a busy and growing cost & project management consultancy based in Brighton. The Quantity Surveyor will be joining one of their project teams and working closely with the site team to deliver leisure and hospitality projects across the South of the UK.
Reporting to a Senior QS, the Quantity Surveyor's key role will be to manage the commercial delivery of the project on behalf of the client. Some of your main responsibilities will include:
- Offering advice and guidance throughout the procurement process
- Prepare tender and contract documents
- Monitor & control the project spend throughout the construction stages
- Oversee any changes to the project design and the impact of budget
- Identify any commercial risks and develop strategies to manage those risks
- Offer value engineering solutions
- Act as the liaison between the contractor, the client, stakeholders and external consultants
The successful candidate will need to have a degree in a construction related subject e.g. Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Project Management and live within a reasonable commute of the office in Brighton.
