A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor on a major infrastructure project in East Anglia. The Quantity Surveyor will be part of a growing team and delivering a variety of works including flood barriers, retaining walls and other sea defences along the North Sea coast.

The Quantity Surveyor will be working closely with a Senior QS, managing their own packages of work and taking them from procurement through to final account settlement. Some of your key duties will include:

• Subcontract management
• Procurement
• Cost reporting
• Preparation and administration of contracts
• Monitor payments from the clients and authorise to suppliers/sub-contractors
• Support the SQS & CM on other commercial duties across the project
• Provide commercial support to junior surveyors and the project team

Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have previous experience working on civil engineering projects for a main contractor and live within a reasonable commute of Lowestoft.
