A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Quantity Surveyor to join the site based commercial team delivering a major infrastructure project in West London. The opportunity promises exposure to large, complex packages of work, the support of an experienced commercial leadership team, no limits on career progression and great earning potential.
The Quantity Surveyor will be working closely with an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor and working on their own portfolio of packages across the project. This could include the construction of bored tunnels, access shafts, head houses or even the building of large pumping stations to replace existing assets in the path of the project. Some of the Quantity Surveyors key duties will include:
- Assisting with the preparation of assessment of applications, valuations and cost/value reconciliation
- Cost control forecasting - preparing and providing input into the monthly reports
- Assisting the SQS with Risk & Value Management
- Working closely with the site project teams
- Supporting the Senior QS with the development of junior members within the team
- Offering accurate contract advice to the wider project team
Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have at least 2 years experience working on a UK based infrastructure or civil engineering project. You'll need to be commercially astute, keen to further your career and willing to learn. You'll also need excellent communication skills.
