£40,000 to £52,000 + car & package
I have a really exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a large, privately owned main contractor delivering a high profile, £40m civil engineering project near to Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with a background in civil engineering and infrastructure projects to take a lead role in the day to day delivery of a complex project that will play a key role in the regions infrastructure for the next 100 years.
As the Quantity Surveyor, you'll be involved with the project as soon as it goes on site in August and responsible for a pre & post contract duties including:
- The preparation of internal commercial reporting
- The preparation of valuations and applications for payment
- Administration of supplier and subcontractor accounts
- Undertaking contract administration
- Identify commercial risks & opportunities
- Change management
- Value engineering
- Cost reporting
- Provide the Commercial Lead with commercial updates when required
In return, the successful Quantity Surveyor will be given an opportunity that includes taking responsibility for the day to day running of a large, £40m civil engineering project. You'll be working closely with the clients inhouse team and have the onsite support of 2 assistant surveyors and a commercial assistant. You'll also have the guidance of an experienced and approachable commercial lead, regular career reviews and progression and a competitive salary & package that includes:
- Starting salary of up to £52,000 (depending on experience)

Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity must have a degree in Quantity Surveying and at least 3 years experience gained on civil engineering &/or infrastructure projects. You'll need a sound understanding of the NEC suite of contracts, excellent communication skills and happy to help others looking to progress their own careers.
