Quantity Surveyor
Location: Plymouth
Rate: £60-65 per hour (37-hour week)
IR35: Outside IR35
Duration: 12 months
A major engineering consultancy is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support a portfolio of civil engineering and nuclear infrastructure projects at a secure site near Plymouth.
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary project team, you'll be responsible for the commercial management of projects from inception through to final account. Key duties will include:
- Contract administration (NEC)
- Managing subcontractor accounts,
- Assessing and negotiating compensation events,
- Preparing valuations and forecasts,
- Cost reporting,
- Risk management
- Providing project teams with commercial advice.
Requirements:
- Previous Quantity Surveying experience within the defence, nuclear or civil engineering sectors.
- Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts.
- Experience managing costs, change control and commercial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Due to security clearance requirements, applicants must have been born in the UK and hold a valid British passport.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term outside IR35 contract with a globally recognised engineering consultancy delivering an exciting, major project in the South West.
