A long term contract opportunity has arisen with a leading main contractor delivering a fast paced framework for Thames Water. The Quantity Surveyor will be joining an experienced team and overseeing the delivery of reactive maintenance work across Thames Waters assets in Oxfordshire and Berkshire.
Some of the Quantity Surveyors key duties will include:
- Managing subcontract packages across the project from procurement to settlement of final accounts
- Manage the relationship between the client and all stakeholders, ensuring all parties are updated with programme developments
- Ensuring all Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental requirements are being met and monitored
- Oversee the work on the sites, ensuring it's completed on time, within budget and delivered as per the specification
- Manage any change
- Support junior surveyors on the contract
Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have previous experience working for a main contractor in the UK and on a water, power or utilities contract. You'll also need good NEC knowledge, excellent communication skills and live within a reasonable commute of the office near to Oxford.
This role includes flexible working and will be deemed inside of IR35 regulations with a day rate of up to £350.
