We have an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor delivering a highways framework across Hertfordshire. The Quantity Surveyor will be joining a large team and working on a variety of projects including both large schemes and highways maintenance work.

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for a variety of duties including:

• Subcontract procurement
• Subcontract administration & management
• Cost control
• Reviewing client compensation events
• Cost reporting
• Contract administration
• Review of tender documents
• Benchmark and undertake KPI reviews

The successful Quantity Surveyor can expect exposure to a large variety of different projects including the maintenance of a large road network, replacement of bridges and structure, street lighting, new signage and communication networks, pedestrianising of town centres and more. There's also a competitive salary & package that includes:

• A starting salary of between £35,000 and £50,000 (based on experience)

Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to live within a reasonable commute of Hertford, St. Albans or Luton and have experience in the following areas:

• 2+ years of civil engineering or highways maintenance experience
• Good NEC knowledge
• Excellent communication skills
