Brief

RF Systems Design Engineer needed for a highly reputable Defence organisation based in Hampshire who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded RF Systems Design Engineer that takes pride in their work with demonstratable experience of modelling complex RF systems (using MWO preferably), experience in the design of electronic / RF systems incorporating FPGAs, Microcontrollers and standards based Bus systems and previous hands on RF design and debug experience.

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the RF Systems Design Engineer will include:

• The development of RF system models for current and proposed products to allow full system analysis to be performed.
• Support bid work for new business by generating accurate RF simulation data to aid accurate costings to be distilled.
• Work with System engineering to distil customer requirements into RF sub systems requirements to ensure products are designed appropriately.
• Support generation of system design documentation and present this material clearly and concisely during design reviews.
• Provide support during equipment integration and test to ensure rapid resolution of issues.
• Any other duties as and when required.
• Manage security of information as defined in the Security manual.

What experience you need to be the successful RF Systems Design Engineer:

• Demonstrate experience of modelling complex RF systems (using MWO preferably).
• Previous hands on RF design and debug experience.
• Familiarity with RF test and debug equipment and the ability to provide support during systems integration and test.
• Ability to clearly express design intent using Design Documents, block diagrams, flow diagrams and system level schematics.
• Experience in the design of electronic / RF systems incorporating FPGAs, Microcontrollers and standards-based Bus systems.
• Knowledge/experience with some of the following software packages: MWO, ADS or Genesis. Microsoft Office, Visio, Doors, CAD packages Altium Designer, Cadence.
