Safety Engineer
Brough / Hull / York area - Hybrid / flexible working.
SC Clearance required.
£45,000 - £50,000 + benefits package.
Role Summary:
We have a brilliant new role available near Hull for a Safety Engineer to work on Aircraft Safety Systems with a major UK Defence Industry organisation.
In this role you will be generating, updating, and reviewing equipment, system and aircraft safety assessments to assert that the design is acceptably safe.
Maintaining and updating the Aircraft hazard logs
Facilitating and Minute Taking of Safety reviews and Project Safety Committees
Supporting the project in risk assessing and managing emergent in-service safety issues
Your skills and experience:
- Experience of System Safety work
- Understanding of design principles & processes relevant to design activities and the Engineering Lifecycle
- Understanding of integration of inputs across a wide variety of Engineering Teams
- Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously, using initiative in problem-solving, and delivering solutions to schedule adherence in a high-pressure environment
The Role Environment:
This particular project support over 650 Aircraft across numerous customers internationally including Australia, South Africa, KSA, Qatar, Oman and the UK.
Working under the guidance and coaching of the Design Aircraft Safety Manager you will assist in the safety integration and delivery of through life design safety activities at an Aircraft Level through the complete Engineering Lifecycle.
