About the role
The Senior Safety Engineer will provide Safety Engineering support to a variety of Military Aerospace projects, working within a team of safety engineers the candidate will be responsible for supporting the team's technical output and ensuring that accurate safety products are delivered to the customer. Leadership and direction will be provided and supervised by the Project Manager and the Technical Lead for projects where necessary, though a large amount of autonomy will be available.
Duties / Responsibilities
The primary output for this Senior Safety Engineer role will be the provision of expertise to deliver defined artefacts in support of a variety of Military Aerospace Project Teams.
Artefact production will cover the whole range of Safety Management System (SMS) documentation for Aviation platforms (including Hazard Analysis / Risk Analysis / Safety Case generation / Loss Model generation / Safety Management Plans), and the applicant should possess analytical skills to examine evidence to support a safety argument.
Ability in the use of safety engineering tools and techniques together with excellent interpersonal skills are essential for the delivery of output.
