Safety Health and Environment Trainer needed for a leading Defence organisation based in Portsmouth who are looking to employ an experienced Safety Health and Environment Trainer. As a SHE Trainer, you will support the wider business as the SHE Training and learning professional working closely with the SHE Leads and the business managers/ supervisors. This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on a busy Naval Base and the opportunity to progress within the business.
What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Safety Health and Environment Trainer will include:
Training delivery of existing SHE courses (Managing Safely, Risk Assessment, COSHH, Managing Contractors etc) and other in-house courses to employees of all different levels in a thriving business
Challenging current thinking around learning and embracing the latest technology to develop new SHE Training learning methods and solutions
Working in the SHE team with the business and the Learning and Development team to support the SHE Training planning, coordination and governance to ensure effective use of resources.
What you need to be the successful Safe Health and Environment:
In order to be the successful Safe Health and Environment and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:
Hold a Health and Safety Qualification:
- NEBOSH Diploma (or other L6 qualification/diploma such as British Safety Council, NCRQ, Oxford Brookes etc.)
- Environment qualification such as IEMA Certificate
Hold a training qualification such as one of the following
- PTTLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
- 7302 Level 3 Certificate and Diploma in Delivering Learning
- 7307 Level 3 Certificate in Teaching Adult Learners
- 7318 Level 3 NVQ Learning and Development qualifications
- 7407 Level 4 Certificate in Further Education Teaching
- PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education)
Maritime and or any experience in high risk industries would be good
Any experience in military, rail, nuclear
Any experience as a training consultan
