Salesforce Database Administrator needed for a leading Engineering organisation based in Portsmouth who are looking to employ an experienced Salesforce Database Administrator who enjoys all aspects of data management, enrichment, administration, and cleaning.
What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Salesforce Database Administrator will include:
Work on tickets raised for manual loads of data
- Utilise the CRM and related applications to automate all data interfaces and deduplication of data where possible. Perform manual steps where required
- Reviewing procedures regularly and play a key role in identifying and implementing continuous improvements to streamline and enhance current processes
- Monitor on-going processes and correct/escalate issues that occur
- Raise any issues experiences with data capture, accuracy and quality
- Adhere to all tests for loading of data to ensure the integrity of the data in the system
- Oversee SFTP site management for client-side batch import process
- Additional ad hoc tasks relating to the data management requirements of the platform
- Responding to support tickets from internal stakeholders, performing analysis, information gathering, troubleshooting and escalations while communicating via instant messaging platforms or virtual calls
- Preparing technical and functional documentation
- Building Salesforce reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders
- Data management and manipulation in Excel including Vlookups
- Support the Technical Solutions team objectives of developing the platform
- Additional ad hoc tasks relating to the data management requirements of the platform
What you need to be the successful Salesforce Database Administrator:
In order to be the successful Salesforce Database Administrator and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:
Qualifications:
- Strong Salesforce product knowledge and at least 2+ years of Salesforce Administration hands-on experience with Sales Cloud
- Salesforce Certified Administrator and/or Platform App Builder or demonstratable proactive learning via Trailhead, training courses or personal projects

- Familiarity with Salesforce configuration concepts such as Profiles, Sharing Rules, Workflows, Process Builder, Validation Rules, Approvals, Fields, Objects, Page Layouts, Record Types, Actions, Reports, Dashboards etc.
- Experience building Salesforce reports and dashboards
