My client are recruiting for an experienced Senior Bid Manager to join their experienced team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and leading the bid teams to develop bespoke, compliant, and professional proposals from initial bid review through to responding to post-tender queries. The ideal candidate will have experience of larger and more complex building schemes to join the team.

The main duties of the role will involve leading bid teams to develop proposals, managing the process, and providing the link to senior management and estimating teams. You will also be responsible for mentoring less experienced bid managers and bid submissions team.

Key responsibilities include...

• Tender strategy presentations
• Bid deliverables schedules
• Answering plans
• Leading development sessions
• Responsible for managing risk/opportunity schedules, organizing and chairing tender settlement meetings, and submission documents.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of the construction process and technical terminology, experienced in bid management from a contractor or client side, planning and executing reports, submission documents, and presentations. Understanding of the construction procurement process and evidence of working/liaising/negotiating with clients/external consultants is a must. The ability to manage and lead a diverse team within construction and team working skills are essential.

Ideally, the candidate should have experience of working in the healthcare, commercial, and education sectors. An appreciation of sustainability, modern methods of construction, and social value agendas would be advantageous.
