Brief
Senior Commercial Officer needed for a leading engineering organisation based in the Gillingham area who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Senior Commercial Officer that takes pride in their work.
The successful candidate would desirably have a relevant degree and a proven experience of team working in a commercial / contracts department.
Commercial professionals at this grade are responsible for interpreting and communicating customer requirements, identifying and mitigating risk and assessing opportunity, supporting the business to manage change and deliver upon its financial commitments.

What experience you need to be the successful Senior Commercial Officer:
- Degree level qualification in Business/Finance/Law or equivalent relevant experience
- Ability to communicate and present to all levels of the business and customer environment
- Good and broad professional knowledge of commercial principles and practices
- Business acumen to demonstrate an understanding of the balance of risk and reward in managing long term complex programmes
- Proven ability to negotiate, prepare and issue sound business contracts
- Experience of Team Working in a Commercial / Contracts department
