Senior development management planner required for a national organisation based in Norfolk who are looking to employ an experienced Senior development management planner with experience in the council industry or related field as a development manager.

What the role involves:

Some of the main duties of the Senior development management planner will include:

  • Manage all types of applications and include major applications
  • Be present at the planning committee and present applications
  • Provide professional advice on different matters to clients, the public, the council and others
  • Provide support to technical staff in the distribution of the development management service
  • Provide support and appeals to the enforcement team and planning policy team
  • Attend and provide expert evidence at hearings and public inquiries
  • Keep current knowledge of legislation and policy changes

Senior Development Management Planner key skills and experience:

In order to be the successful Senior development management planner and be a part of this great opportunity you'll need to have the following:

  • Great experience in development management environment
  • Have a degree in town or country planning or equivalent qualification
  • Be a member of the royal town planning institute
  • A strong knowledge of current legislation related to planning and enforcement matters
  • Experience in presenting major planning applications to the committee
  • Experience of being a witness at planning hearings and inquiries
  • Strong verbal and written communication
