We are looking for a Senior Human Factors engineer to join an established Human Factors Team that includes qualified Ergonomists, applied psychologists and technical Safety Engineers.
The team has experience of working within multidisciplinary project teams and takes a pragmatic approach to ensure project ideas are turned into reality.
Team members have expertise in applying Ergonomics / Human Factors techniques, undertaking safety and risk-assessments, managing Human Factors programmes and they also conduct training and research.
Human Factors Engineer Duties:
- Human factors integration
- Behavioural studies
- Control Room design
- HMI design
- Workload assessment
- Human error analysis
- Human reliability analysis
We are now adding to the team and looking for a Senior Human Factors Engineer to assist in the development and implementation of Human Factors programmes on UK and international projects.
We are currently looking for a Human Factors / Ergonomics engineer to assist with a variety of projects within the rail industry.
This will include assessment of signalling control centres and stations locations to ensure good practice Human Factors principles are applied to re-design options.
The role will require some travel, occasional overnight stays and potential secondments.
Essential academic, professional qualifications and experience:
You will have graduated with a qualification in Human Factors, Ergonomics or Psychology related discipline and ideally be working in a consultancy environment.
Essential Competencies / skills:

* Ability to work independently, take the initiative, make decisions and work to tight deadlines to meet client needs
